Young Women's Health
Women’s Health Nurses run free clinics at many locations across the Northern Rivers area. They provide advice and referrals on a wide range of health issues and also carry out pap testing, pregnancy testing and other sexual health checks. They can also refer you to other services and there is no charge to visit
The Lismore and District Women’s Health Centre provides referrals and advice on a wide range of health matters. They also run an Eating Disorders program.
Information for young women about drugs and pregnancy is available from the MUMS program
Family Planning Clinics can provide advice about all issues in regard to contraception and pregnancy and also
sexual health.
Information about sexually transmitted diseases is available from a number of clinics and health centres.
Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence can sadly affect young women’s lives.
