Reproductive & Sexual Health Clinics (formerly Family Planning)
The Family Planning Service operates clinics based at Port Macquarie and Kempsey. This community based service is available to people who have a current Health Care Card or are under 24 years of age. The clinics provide assistance with:-
- Sexual counselling
- Sexually transmissible infection (STI) testing
- Pregnancy testing & counselling
- Contraceptive & fertility management
- Gynaecological problems
- Pap smears
- Breast checks
- Menstrual problems
- Menopause information
- Osteoporosis information
- Continence advice
- Information available for women & men
Clinics are run as follows:
Port Side Clinic at Port Macqaurie
Port Macquarie Health Campus
Morton Street, Port Macquarie
Thursdays 4.15pm – 7.15pm (except 1st Thursday of every month)
Appointments can be made by phoning 6588 2731 Monday – Friday during business hours.
1st Thursday of every month The Port Side Clinic is located at Kickstart Youth Service,
Village Arcade, Horton Street, Port Macquarie
4.15pm – 7.15pm
This service is available to persons under 24 years of age
Appointments can be made by phoning 6584 0430 or just drop in
Kempsey - Marsh Street Clinic
4 hours per week (Wednesday 2.00pm – 6.00pm)
8 Marsh Street, Kempsey
GP and Women"s Health Nurse available

The clinics are targeted to clients 24 years and under and a Health Care Card is a requirement.
The Family Planning Clinics are run by a Doctor and Women’s Health Nurse with administrative support for reception.
