A Cancer Support Group Directory has been prepared by the North Coast Area Health Service. This is a comprehensive guide to a range of support groups throughout the region.It discusses the kinds of support groups offered and how to access them. Under the umbrella of the Cancer Council. A support group for women diagnosed with breast cancer given by women who have had breast cancer. Volunteers are matched to patients by procedure and age.
Meets from 1.30pm to 3.30pm on the second Tuesday each month at 37 Oliver Avenue, Goonellabah.

The Outreach Service runs a support group for cancer sufferers, conducts fund-raising for the Cancer Council and encourages awareness of the Slip Slop Slap campaign.
The Cancer Action Group meets at the Brunswick Heads Uniting Church 1.30pm on the third Thurs of each month except December and January.
Byron Shire Cancer Support Group
Meets first Wednesday of the month from 1pm – 3.30 pm at the Uniting Church Meeting Room, Mullumbimby

This is an open group for people living in the Byron Shire who have been diagnosed with Cancer, their family or friends.
This is an opportunity to find out more information about cancer and to find support from other people living with Cancer in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Educational guest speaker each month, with a cuppa and afternoon tea.
Supported by the Uniting Church Mullumbimby, Brunswick Valley Cancer Action Group and Cancer Council NSW.
Casino Cancer Support Group
Cancer Support Group for people with any type of cancer. Family and other carers are welcome. It meets on the third Monday of each month from 10.00am to 12.00 noon at Casino Community Health.
