Lismore Base hospital - Maternity & Neonatal Services
The Women's Care Unit provides pre and post birth care to mothers and babies.
The Special Care Nursery currently has 6 cots. It provides care for babies over 32 weeks requiring intensive care.
There is an Obstetrician and Paediatrician are on call 24 hours/ 7days per week.
We have 4 birthing suites and believe in a family centred environment where mother, partner and/or additional support persons can be actively involved in the birth process.
Postnatal facilities include a 10 bed Mothercraft Unit and a post disharge Home Midwifery Care Service.
Visiting Hours : Partners & siblings only before lunch. Open visiting 3pm to 8pm.
We encourage a rest period for mothers and babies from 12.30pm to 3pm.
