Purpose Statement
The North Coast Area Health Advisory Council (AHAC) brings communities and clinicians together to talk about health and health care. We aim to advise North Coast Area Health Service how best to achieve health care services that are focussed on health as well as treatment of disease; and that are safer, more affordable, and more available. Access to community knowledge is invaluable for planning, policy, and monitoring, and AHAC will assist the North Coast Area Health Service to prioritise demand and make difficult decisions in resource allocation. By efforts to keep communities informed, AHAC aims to build high levels of trust and confidence that our health service can deliver effective health outcomes.
