Mothers in the Paid Workforce
Babies can continue to have all the benefits of mother’s milk even if she has to go back to work. It’s best to wait at least six weeks so that the milk supply is fully established, but after this time milk can be expressed by hand or with a breast pump and left with who ever is looking after the baby. Some working mothers have day care facilities near their work so they can breastfeed during their breaks at work.
