Support Services for Families
Families First is a NSW State Government Initiative that aims to support and assist parents and carers of children under the age of eight.
Child and Family Health Nurses and Family Health Teams offer:
- post natal home visits for all parents; antenatal visiting for high risk pregnancies
- teams to provide full services to assist and support parents and monitor child health and development
- Paediatric Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, Speech pathologists, Child and Family Counsellors, School nurse/Audiometrist
- Preparation for Parenthood (Antenatal) classes
- Support groups for new parents
