Strategic Plan
The Northern NSW Oral Health Network covers the participating Health Areas of Hunter New England and North Coast. The Strategic Plan, 2008-2012, has been released after a series of consultations and planning processes in 2007, which resulted in endorsement of the Plan by Area Executives of both Areas.
The Strategic Plan has six key recommendations for priorities to achieve its vision and goals. Priority groups for service provision to the eligible population are identified and an Action Plan lists strategies to achieve the goals.
The plan is guided by policies at state level, from the NSW Centre for Oral Health Strategy and at national level by the Healthy Mouths, Healthy Lives strategic directions. The directions of the Plan embrace the policy trend to oral health promotion and prevention and rest on social justice values of achieving access and equity for improved oral health for the population of our Health Areas.
