Adult Teeth
Look after your teeth and they’ll look after you.
That’s true – did you know poor dental health can lead to poor general health?
So, start really looking after your precious “ivories” from today and make sure you ask your friends and family to do the same.
Keeping your teeth in good shape requires three simple steps:
1. Clean your teeth properly at least twice a day – after breakfast and before bed.
Use dental floss, a soft toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste.
And remember, it takes around two minutes to clean your teeth properly.

2. Eat a balanced, nutritious diet. You’d be surprised how much sugar and unfriendly acid is in the food we eat. In fact, Australians consume an average of 63 kg of sugar per person per year.
3. Have regular dental check-ups. Your dentist can advise how often this should be – it all depends on your risk of decay. Remember proper cleaning and a good diet reduces your risk of decay significantly.
