Live music is just one type of entertainment on offer in LismoreLismore offers a wide range of nightlife activities from Table Tennis to Swing and Lindy Hop  dancing, or playing in the regional orchestra to watching the greyhound races. Cultural diversity is the hallmark of the Rainbow Region and Lismore is at its heart. Lismore has a number of excellent restaurants ranging from Thai and French to exotic vegan food. There are a number of clubs and pubs which feature live bands on many nights of the week. There is a Cinema Complex and two local theatre companies.

NORPA brings national and international theatre, dance and music perfomers to Lismore on a regular basis.

Byron Bay also hosts many internationally acclaimed bands, and the charming village of Bangalow is host to many unique world music perfomances, apart from having a great collection of restaurants and galleries.

You can enjoy the arts in this region as an audience member, or avail yourself of the many opportunities to join in as a performer. This region has a very lively community arts scene with everything from making huge lanterns for street parades, to learning mongolian throat singing on offer.

There is also a very active Gay and Lesbian community in the Rainbow Region. Regular entertainment is enjoyed at the stylish Winsome Hotel in Lismore and the nationally famous Tropical fruits New years celebration held annually.
