The hospital is committed to providing the best possible health care to the community. The Hospital is accredited by the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and continually seeks opportunities to improve services and patient outcomes.

Nurses are vital and form a significant group in the North Coast Area Health Service, working both in hospitals and in the community. They make up almost half of the NCAHS workforce and are the largest employee group by a long way. Every day nurses in our region make a real contribution to the community. Nurses provide the care and professional 'know how' to make a difference to someone's life - maybe even save their life. There are lots of areas of specialisation and different areas of medicine where nurses work in our health service. New technology and medical advances constantly push career boundaries and challenges. In Australia, nursing is a respected profession for men and women.
