Tweed Heads Nursing Life :: Nightlife

Dancing on the tableThe City of Tweed Heads offers a comprehensive range of entertainment, dining and night sport actiivities, and plenty of community arts and performance groups if you would rather perform than watch. Tweed Heads is fantastically well located being half way between Byron Bay and Brisbane with all kinds of international and local entertainment along the whole coastal strip.

Brisbane offers everything that a contemporary city with a strong commitment to arts and culture should provide, from international and local theatre, classical and jazz concerts, opera, and ballet to international superstars and bands on tour.

Byron Bay features a more alternative music culture, and also sees many international world music events. They host the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival each year, which won a Helpmann Award for the Best Music Festival in Australia. At Kingscliff, apart from some of the country's best beaches, you can enjoy fantastic al fresco dining, free entertainement in pubs and clubs and in mid August, the 'Art, Food and All That Jazz' Festival, is a feast for foodies, art lovers and jazz fans.

Not far from Tweed Heads Hospital is the Twin Towns Services Club a hive of actvity day and night, where top Australian and International bands and performers appear regularly.

For those who are not into the clubs and pub scene there are hundreds of community cultural groups operating in this region, and many art, craft, hobby and other courses are available at night. Here is a sample of the art courses on offer at the Tweed Heads Adult and Community Education Association.
