Grafton Nursing Life :: Nightlife

Nights at Grafton can be danced away at the local nightclub by the river, or meet some friends for drinks at one of the many historic pubs. Historic South Grafton over the ‘bendy bridge’ has some delightful cafes and provides live music and curry nights on occasion. You can see a movie at the Saraton Movie Cinema, a heritage building with the nostalgic glamour of old and choc-top ice creams, or play a game of ten-pin bowling at the licensed bowling alley.

Clarence River

For something different, why not take a walk along the riverbank or board a boat on the Clarence River for a fine dining and/or dancing experience, or attend one of the old-time country dances in one of the nearby small towns? With two performing arts companies, the local talent often puts on an entertaining musical or drama. For those seeking noise and car fumes, the show ground is the host to the regular Speedway events.

With the prolific aquatic opportunities, night fishing is an enjoyable way to spend the evening. Abundant wildlife is present in the area and can be spotted at night with the aid of a good torch and a guide!  Interesting wildlife that may be spotted (day or night) include quolls, bilbies, bats, platypus and a variety of possums and birds, kangaroos.
