About the facility

Macksville is situated in the heart of the Nambucca Valley, halfway between Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour. Macksville Health Campus consists of Macksville Hospital, Community Health Centre and the Ambulance Training School.

Services provided include 24 hour in-patient and emergency department services, surgery essentially day only mainly general and eye lists and a low risk birthing unit.

In-house physiotherapy, occupational therapy, pathology and radiology services are provided Monday to Friday. Emergency X-Ray and pathology are provided through the 24 hour emergency department.

Standard 2 day Area Health Orientation.

Rest of week with Nurse Educator.

Second week on roster and supported by CNS. CNS available for 6 week and 6 month reviews.

First month roster aligned with Mentor's for accessibility.

Discharge Planner avalable as a further clinical resource.
