The North Coast Mental Health Forum

The North Coast Area Health Advisory Council and the North Coast Area Health Service have established a number of community participation structures to advise on health service planning, delivery and evaluation.
Expressions of Interest were sought for the committee of the North Coast Mental Health Forum which meets regularly.

The role of the Mental Health Forum is to provide a forum for the community to participate in and provide advice on health service planning, development and evaluation in relation to mental health services within the North Coast Area Health Service.

Any resident will be able to register as a member of the Mental Health Forum and receive information on Mental Health activities when available. The Mental Health Forum has established a Committee of twenty (20) for operational purposes.  Membership of the Committee comprises:

  • Five (5) Carers
  • Five (5) Consumers
  • Three (3) Aboriginal representatives
  • Five (5) Community/Non Government Agency representatives
  • Clinical/Management representatives to attend including Director of Mental Health
  • Representative from Area Health Advisory Council
