The Tweed Hospital (TTH) is located in the City of Tweed Heads, part of the North Coast Area Health Service and is the most northerly hospital in New South Wales and stands only metres away from Coolangatta on the Queensland border. The hospital's catchment population resides in the Southern Gold Coast and Tweed Valley, with population projections of 200 000 by 2011.

The Tweed Hospital is the major acute care provider and referral facility with 220 beds and various specialties including emergency (40,500 presentations), critical care, internal medicine, surgical services ,obstetrics, paediatrics, mental health and clinical support services. 
26,000 Admissions and 6,100 Surgical Operations per annum. It has a Teaching Unit and links to Southern Cross, Sydney, Griffith, Bond and Charles Sturt Universities.
