Fire Safety
The hospital has well marked Fire Exits and Fire fighting equipment. Please do not remove any signs or tamper with any fire fighting equipment- people's lives depend on it. If you notice something missing or wrong, then please notify the nursing staff.
In the event of a fire, or for any other reason if asked to evacuate, patients must follow the instructions given by hospital Staff. Should this ever be necessary please keep calm. The staff are well trained in fire safety and evacuation procedures.
Security
The hospital maintains a comprehensive security system for patient and staff protection. All buildings are secured after hours including doors to verandahs. As a result patient access to outside areas is not permitted after hours because of the security risks.
