Telephones
The use of mobile phones and other wireless communication devices are permitted at a distance of greater than 2 metres from electrical medical equipment in most areas.
The use of these devices in Critical care areas is discouraged as it may cause interference with senitive electrical equipment.
Public telephones (coin and pre-paid card operated) are available for use by patients. These are situated at the entrances to all wards and near the main foyer on level 4 (street level).
A TTY Public Payphone (text communication facility for people with hearing difficulties) is situated on level 4 (street level) near the main foyer.
Phone cards are available for purchase at the coffee shop.
Bedside phones are available to patients for incoming calls.
