Visiting Hours
GENERAL WARDS
There are no formal visting hours in the general wards. However, it will help us if most visits are between 10am and 8pm. Visits outside these times should be arranged with the Nurse Unit Mananger.
People in hospital are all different. Some are very sick, some well on the road to recovery, and some close to home. It helps everyone if visitors are considerate of those who need quiet.
MATERNITY UNIT
Partners and siblings only before lunch.
Open visiting is between 3pm and 8pm.
In response to many requests from patients the unit is closed to visitors between 12.30pm and 3pm . This allows mothers and babies to have a rest. Incoming phone calls are discouraged during the rest period.
Visits outside these times should be arranged with the Nurse Unit Mananger or Midwife in Charge.
CHILDREN'S WARD
Official visiting hours are from 10am to 8pm however we encourage a rest time between 12md and 2pm.
No restrictions apply to parents or immediate guardian.
CORONARY CARE UNIT
Visiting hours are very open, however the number of people visiting should be kept samall as visits are very tiring for ill patients. We encourage patient rest time from 1pm to 3pm.
INTENSIVE CARE UNIT
Visiting hours are usually from 11am to 8pm. The unit is closed to visitors before 11am for clinical care reasons.
Visits outside these times should be arranged with the Nurse Unit Mananger or Nurse in Charge.
