Position Description
Purpose of Role:
To provide registrar/ CMO level medical care to patient in the Rehabilitation unit at CHHC and to play an active role in this medical team contributing to excellence in communication, teaching and delivery of patient care.
Role Responsibilites:
- The primary responsibilities in this position are: · The efficient and effective delivery of Patient services in accordance with North Coast Area Health Service, Coffs Clarence Network and Coffs Harbour Health Campus policies and standards, community needs and within budget allocation. Participation in Rehabilitation service provision. Full assessment, care and effective discharge planning of all patients in the Rehabilitation Unit · Effective working in partnership with all service partners so that integrated and networked services are delivered that facilitates patient care and working partnerships. · The provision of safe, appropriate, patient focussed, outcome directed, coordinated quality care that meets professional standards and is based on best practice standards · · Appropriate referral and continuing care for all patients. · Response to inpatient clinical Emergencies. · Participation in supervision of junior medical colleaugues. Contribution to quality improvment in the Rehabilitation team.
Essential Criteria
- MB BS or Equivalent
- Current Registration with NSW Medical Board
- Relevant Post Graduate experience.
- Computer skills.
