The Detoxification Unit at 'Riverlands' is a 16 bed inpatient/residential facility which comprises 6 double and 4 single bedrooms, all with ensuites.
It also features spacious balconies and a landscaped courtyard .
The unit provides a safe and supportive environment for the medicated withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs.
Group and individual counselling are an integral part of a resident's stay.
The unit can also offer referral to rehabilitation and other relevant services.
Admission to the unit is voluntary and on a referral basis.
The average length of stay is 5 - 7 days.
