What do we do?

The following services are provided for children aged 0-18 years unless specified differently :

  • Speech Pathology
  • Paediatric Physiotherapy
  • Paediatric Occupational Therapy
  • Child and Family Health Nursing
  • Community Paediatrican
  • Paediatric Physiotherapy
  • School Health Nursing
  • Nurse Audiometry- Children 4 years and over
  • Child and Family Counselling- Children 0-12 years
  • Genetic Counselling

 

As part of a wider Child and Family Health Team our Child and Family Health Nurses offer support to families with children ranging in age from birth to five years. They support parents with Newborns through home visits and can advise about breast and bottle feeding, and other issues that may arise when caring for a new baby.

There is also an Aboriginal Health Worker available at this facility.

Who can use these services?

Services are available to all people in the Northern Rivers Health Service Area.

There is no charge for Community Health Services with the exception of the hiring of some equipment.
